CAC Camp Day 1...
On Monday night 3/7/06, right after my work...
I rushed straight to YIH CAC clubroom and to the stadium where the Mysterious Journey (MJ) is being held...
I like MJ... All freshies have to be blindfolded and put through many games and test, while being fling with starch, dirt, water etc etc...
It is a test of bravey!!!
It helps to build character!!!
It roughes up the freshies and make a real man (or woman) out of them!!!
It gives the freshies a chance to get to know each other in times of hardships and turmoils!!!
Okie, I'm exaggerating, eh, but I know for sure it is pure fun (at least for the counsellors)...
For my station, it needs two station i.c, but dunno why the guy from group 3 last minute back out, and YB have to beg YL to take it up...
Poor YL, she came just to watch and have fun, but kena end up with this thing...
But never mind, cos we manage to psycho YT to be our station i.c too...
So end up our station has 3 station i.c... Hahaha...
The more the merrier...
And I have to fill up 500 waterbombs!!! (as said in the paper)
I faint... 500 leh!!! You think I got 50 hands??
>_<; But nevermind, I got many helpers!!! At first it was just me and YL and YT...
Then suddenly, my Long-Haired Knight in Shining Blue Nirika Tee came to our rescue!!!
Oh gorgeous knight, I thank thee for ye help...
How can I ever repay you??? *smiles dreamily*
Errm...
*Slaps self*
Okie, it was some guy in CAC helping us...
I remembered that guy, not becos he was gorgeous (although he figure was... Wooooooo), but because of his long hair...
I mean, how many guys can you see in NUS that has long hair, and even carried it off so well!!!
He was also the counsellor for last year CAC camp too...
He had acted in fright night for my group's fifth station, and I remembered it well becos it was my favourite station!!!
Cos it was more funny than scarey... Harharhar...
Anyway, as we chat, He said that he was in the same year as us!!!
Meaning he was going into his first year in university last year, and like us, going into his second year now...
Then how come he can be the cousellor??
Maybe becos he wasn't from NUS...
He's from SMU...
Darn, less one guy candy to look at...
Opps...
But soon after, the friends of that long-hair guy came to help out too...
So nice!!! All of them!!!
Thanks to them, my group managed to complete everything way before time...
Thank you thank you thank you...
Long-hair guy even arranged the waterbombs into neat little rows of ten and count them...
From far it looks as if he was assemblying the army... Whahahahaha...
I think there was a around 300 plus nearing 400 waterbombs...
Wah YB, want me to make 500 but only give me enough for 400??
-_-;
Anyway, my station is Station 1...
The Waterbomb Game...
Aka the Extinguished the Fire Behind Your Heads Game...
Basically, you have a hula hoop on the ground and you have to line up the freshies in a circle around it, with their heads towards the hoop and their feet pointing out...
Then you tell them some story about a fire behind their heads (i.e inside the hoop) and that it is their job to extinguish it...
Put a waterbomb on their feet and tell them to use their feet to fling the waterbombs into the "fire"!!!
Repeat it two more times, with the last having two waterbombs, and watch them (from afar) get soaked...
It is the cleanest game, I tell you, all the starch and dirt and whatever shit from the other stations they get will be washed off...
If they fling the waterbombs too hard, they will hit their friends, but if they do it weak, they will kena it themselves...
Muwhahahahahaaa I am evil, I always like hearing their expressions of horror whenever I told them that...
Group 1 was the most obedient and nice...
They follow the instructions without complains and even have fun teasing each other and playing around with the water...
Group 2 was the most rowdy group... Super enthu and noisy lor!!!
But never mind, at least they have fun...
Group 3 was almost the same like group 2, even their counsellors join in the waterbombings...
I like group 4 the least... I know they are tired after playing all the games liao, but must they be so anti-climax and eveything??
Even their counsellors no fun, other group's will ham it up with the image of fire and bombs their freshies with water...
But for group 4, they asked their freshies to "lift up their left hand and touch the hula hoop behind them", and then they even say "just aim and shoot the water bomb at the hula hoop"...
What the...
When I told them that it will be no fun, they replied that "the freshies are tired already, and cold"...
Wah, so the other groups are warm and refreshed issit??
Bah...
The whole point of the game is too let the freshies gear up their imaginations!!!
And since they are blindfolded throughout the entire Mysterious Journey, they cannot see what is going on, and that is what makes all the stations more exciting...
And the waterbomb thing is anyhow aim one lor, we just want them to get wet and dirty, rough it out and have fun at the same time...
Bah "just aim and shoot the water bomb at the hula hoop" my foot...
I didn't get to meet group 5 cos all the entire thing was dragging, so YB decided to let my group 6 go through my station before cutting short the MJ and going straight to the "finale"...
Hey, not bad, even though they were noisy and shrieking, but they were having fun!!!
Hahahahaha, they were also quite spontaneous and willing to go through the entire thing without so much complains like group 4 and some other groups...
Take cover!!! Take cover!!!
The aftermath of war...
Good, at least they managed to lift up my gloom after the bloody group 4...
So that is why I very nice and left them a gigantic amount of waterbombs to clean themselves with...
(Besides the fact that group 5 didn't turn up so...)
Anyway, my station was kinda fast to go through, so there were long intervals whereby we would be so bored cos the anticipated groups did not arrived yet...
So us 3 would always sneaked out of our post and go disturb our group 6...
Since I only met them once at Cartel, I was very curious to see what the rest looked like too...
So when I found them, I have fun smearing starch on them...
Even gave one of them a new "hairdo" by putting heaps of starch, all sticky and warm and glooey onto one of the poor guy's head and spiking his hair for him...
Wuwhahahahahahaaaaa...
Fun fun fun...
But it was very late when group 6 left my station...
About 2am already...
I was eager to pack up and go home (cos I was still working the next day), but at the same time, I was curious too see them playing the finale, which is the big slide...
But it was taking a very long time, so I helped out ZW (one of the station i.c for it) to guide the freshies down the gentle slope and to the slide...
You can slide to your right...
Or to your left...
Horizontal also can!!!
Or the back ermmm way...
Unfortunately, time (and my energy) was not on my side, and I have to bid MJ goodnight and went home...
But I have a great time yea...
