New Year Countdown!!!

Once again...
It was another gloomy day...
Dark clouds gathered low in the sky...
Distant thunder could be heard rumbling...
Occasionally flashes of lighting can be seen, thankfully far away...

Why Rain?!?! Why always rain?!?! Christmas eve you rain, now you New Year eve you also rain!!!

I hate rainy days whenever I go out...
I prefer to receive them when I'm at home...

Okie, so it began on a gloomy dark day...
Me meet up with my little squirrel at Bugis cos he had to leave home early to receive his passport and buy some stuff from beach road...
Unfortunately, I was late, because I have to do Laundry...
Not the normal laundry your mother or maid do...
I have to do it once a month, so still can handle it...

Anyway, I was late...

And it was pouring like crazy...

So we walk around Bugis Junction, trying to source out nice but cheap errrm I mean afforable clothes...
Aiyah, everything very expensive, so we ditch the effort and head towards Bugis Village instead, while braving the terrible rain... My sandals were wet through...
Initially we were supposed to be shopping for my clothes, but end up shopping for my little squirrel's clothes...
Cos a lot has changed since I last went there!!!
Wah, suddenly sprung up alot of men's clothing, all very trendy and affordable...
No wonder little squirrel so excited...
Heeheehee...

Anyway, little squirrel saw many clothes which he likes, including those collar long sleeves type...
And he end up buying one of those nice tees which is slightly cheaper than those in shopping malls...
Seldom do I see a guy who likes shopping... Hmmm... Rare breed...

Later we went to Marina Centre to have our dinner before going to Hang Ten to buy my clothes...
Cos little squirrel has got the card which enables him to get 50% discount off any clothes he buy for one particular month...
And that month was December...
Hohoho so I got Four clothes on the very last day!!! As my Christmas Present from little squirrel...
Total: $27...
Wahahahaha... Nice buy...

Hmmm... So now I got many new clothes to wear for the new year... But no bottom though...
Aiyah, never mind, it's time to change my wardrobe anyway...
I'm wanna get rid of those kiddie/mis-match tees/ugly shirt/too large/too small/too tight/too short shirt!!!
Cos some of those shirts came from my cousin, who is size S but I'm size M or sometimes L even...
And many of those clothes are from my secondary school days...
So a bit errrrm weird la... And I used to always buy L-size tees back then, when I'm very self-conscious of my figure... So I will buy L, no matter how loose it is...
Now, who cares, no more L's if the M's fits nicely!!! (And must be Long enough, I have big hips, damn)

Eh... Am I boring you??

Okie...
After shopping we go straight to Esplanade... Our favourite hangout...
The night is still early, so we found a spot at Marina Bay away from the crowd to chat...
As the night progresses, more and more people came...
One or two hour till midnight, we got hungry and walked towards Esplanade to find food...
Wah...
Oh man, it long stretch of road towards Esplanade was bursting with people!!!
Really Bursting...
I thought Orchard Road had packed up and moved next door...

So we crawled towards Esplanade...
Crawl crawl crawl...
Still haven't reached it...
Gave up, and ate ice-cream for supper...

We searched around for a nice spot to view the fireworks...
Found one, and spend the rest of the hour waiting...
Waiting... Waiting... Eating ice cream... Waiting... People-watching...
"Eeeee... Look that guy dress so weird!!! Oops that's a girl..."
There are many families gathered together to watch the show...
Little kids, big kids, wonder how their parents keep track of them...
Afterall, they are all running around...

Many couples...

Maybe can see some action later??
Hahahahahahahaha...

No I'm not thinking of anything... No no... Got kids around leh...

Finally...
The moment you have all been waiting for...

FIREWORKS!!!

Giant white torchlights light up the sky...
The little balls changes colour...

Whooop!!! There they go again!!! Red this time...
The white lights move in harmony in many different patterns...

And exactly at 12 midnight...
The real thing begins...
