I'm back from SH 21st Bdae Chalet!!! It was quite enjoyable and I get to see those long-lost friends of mine, SH and XY... Glad to see they are still alive... Hahahaha...
(Will blog about it later... Errmm... I hope...)
Anyway, the after effects of the chalet are still haunting me... I have been trying to avoid it since 10.20am this morning when I first enter the Maths lecture (20 minutes late I know lar)... But I could fend it off no more when the Feedback lecture started... But both Nick and Yenl were sleeping besides me in lecture too, so the source could be from the boring lecturer instead...

I had my first Reason and Persuasion tutorial today!!! Alternate week, one hour each!!! My class was very small, around 8-9 people only...
My tutor seems abit... Nervous... Cos throughout the tutorial, he keeps doing these few stuff...
Scratching his head every 5 minutes...
Digging his ear every 10 minutes...
And kept a constant "distress" look on his face...
I don't think we looked that menacing...
But the tutorial was quite ok... Because I didn't talk at all... Haha, and I sort of understand what he was talking about anyway, so that is good...
My tutor also annouced that there won't be any participation marks in tutorial!!! Or in Weblog!!! All the marks will be allocated to the term paper!!! Wow, is that a good thing or a bad thing?? At least I won't have to worry about writing comments in the stupid class blog liao!!!

Today, after I pon (!!!) my Reason and Persuasion lecture, I encounter a Shuai Ge!!! And he sat besides me in bus!!!
I was quite happie, cos usually when shuai ge (or any guy for the matter) saw me on the bus, they will go and sit beside the auntie in front instead...
The bus continues it's journey...
The guy suddenly yawned... It was a great big yawn... A yawn so big, it would put a hippo to shame...
He then stretch he hands... And yawned again...
And then... And then!!!
He moved his hand...
His hand came straight up to his face, his pretty little fingers slowly curled up into a loose fist with the exception of the lithe last finger on his hands that extended out to its full length and WHAT THE HELL!!!
WHY ARE YOU DIGGING YOUR NOSE IN PUBLIC!!!

I woke up at 7.30am... Went back to sleep... Mom woke me up at 7.35am... Went back to sleep... Little YIlin woke me up at 7.40am... Went back to sleep... My alarm rang at 7.45am... I finally woke up... I left the house at 8.15am... Reached school at 8.55am... Saw Yenl at 8.57am... Sat through a Mechanics tutorial till 9.35am... Went to toilet at 9.45am... Chat with Yenl at 9.50am... Smile and wave to Chillycrap at 9.57am... Wriggle my eyebrown at Beany at 9.58am... Start stoning at 10.03am... Wake up at 10.55am... Disturb Beany till 11.05am... Stone again until 11.45pm... Disturb Beany again till 12.10pm... Sleep all the way until 12.50pm... Leave the lecture hall and reach the canteen at 12.57pm... Eat at 1.05pm... Received an sms from YT at 1.06pm... Went to E2 at 1.36pm... Stare blankly till 2.08pm... Got a shock from Gonghwee who was breathing down my neck at 2.09pm... Being typing till now 2.19pm...
Alright, this is crazy, please disregard this entire bo-liao post and go read my previous entries instead...
Both a blessing and a curse... Blessing because I can finally understand what the hell those lecturers have been talking about... Curse because I would have to spend more time on doing those tutorials, and some of those tutors are not good at teaching at all...
I have Fluids, Maths and Feedback Control tutorial today... Actually, I wasn't supposed to have my Maths tutorial today, but I crashed Yenl's class... (So that I no need to go for tomorrow's...)
We were a bit late in arriving at the class, and when we arrived, our eyes nearly poped out!!! It was full house and overflowing with people!!!
I believe I'm not the only person who crashed it... =-p
Heh heh, Chillycrap and Snoookems and her friends were in the same class too!!! But the class so damn full, think I shall have to be early next time...
After the Maths class was Feedback Control tutorial... And while Maths class was at block E3, Feedback Control was all the way at block EA!!! My route in red...
My classes all suay suay at the far ends of each block... So me and Yenl have to half run and half walk to our class... Actually, it was me who ran, while Yenl was attempting to hold me back...
The whole scene was like this:
Imagine me running... Now imagine Yenl was behind me and pulling my bag... Let's also imagine me wearing this particular jeans that is super loose (because I bought one size way too big)...
So imagine me running in those very loose jeans... And pulling them up at the same time... And one last thing...
Imagine me laughing hysterically at the whole situation... . . . . . No wonder so many people giving us weird looks...
Another stupid thing happened today too... I bought a Lemon Chicken Rice from the canteen today... And since it is Lemon Chicken Rice, there is a piece of lemon on my plate...
I picked it up and attempted to squeeze out the lemon juice with my fork and spoon...
ASME has organised a Trebuchet competition in NUS on 20/1/07... Specially for Mech Engin students...
No participation fee!!! Materials are provided!!! Cash prize of $1000 to be won!!!
The chance to use your trebuchet to throw water bombs at your lecturers for setting so difficult exam questions!!!
Sounds like fun right??
Maybe lar but have to get your butt off the bed on a saturaday morning... ZZZzzzz...
When I arrive at the SRC field bright and not-so-early on that day, I saw quite a number of students have came and were surrounding those Trebuchets... It was only a little after 9am (the time the competition starts) so there will be some that are late... Wah, I didn't know ME students so supportive...
Until I realised that those groups of students are the competitors, not the audience... >__<;
When the ME people have more or less arrived, I realised that there are just as many contestants as there are audience (Or maybe even more)... Which is not very much at all when are there are about 200-300 ME students... Why!!! ME people show your support lehhhh...
In any case you guys have no idea what a Trebuchet looks like, here's a sample... Wahhh...

It is the first time ASME is organising such an event... So it is liable to have some hiccups here and there...
Late starting off... Lousy mike... Lousy sound system... Lousy songs choices... Some Lousy guy-trying-to-host-the-whole-thing...
He is super lousy, that is one of the main peeve I have for the day... He speaks too fast, the words are too mumbled up, and the things he says are too cheesy... Anyway, I doubt anyone was listening to him... Cos when he try to engage the audience, they ignored him... Our lecturers also kinda bo chap him too... Cos there's this time when he ask our Thermo lecturer about what he thinks of the competition and turn-out etc... And he was saying all these while the lecturer was back facing him!!! (Can't he get anyone's attention properly?? Duh, it would be easier if he stood IN FRONT of our lecturer and says what he wants to say...) When the Thermo lecturer finally noticed him, he says "Yes??"... Obviously he have no idea what was the question being posted to him... Buwhahahaaa...
Back to the competition... Although the basic shape of those trebuchet made by ME student were more or less the same, I'm still impressed by some of it...
One trebuchet even has a laser pointer... This is to help them in laser precision!!! There is another that looks like a tank!!! So big, and its system was totally unique!!! Instead of a pivot, it uses a... a... Oh man, I dunno how to describe it... A picture paints a thousand words, so I shall attempt to draw it here...

There are also many others with quirky designs... Then there one trebuchet deck in camouflage, one painted in tiger stripes, one in a nice blue and white design, and one in chinese new year decoration O_o... There rest are all in basic solid colours or unpainted at all...

But me and Yenl were sort of discussing about the guidlines of the competition... I have read about the rules for it, and I remembered that there are certain things they have to follow i.e: the length and height of the trebuchet, the weight etc... So how come some of them (who obviously flout those rules) are still allowed to compete?!?
Duh, judges, where are your eyes?!?!?!
But overall the competition was quite fun... Photos from Chillycraps again...

The refreshment provided was surprisingly yummy... But right after the refreshments and attendance taking, almost all of the audience have left... In fact, I wouldn't be surprise if me and Yenl were the only audience left... (Nick left right after the attendance taking, he wants to go home and sleep... Who ask you to play Warcraft till 3am?!)
After the refreshments, Beany keeps on telling me to leave...

Me: But I want to stay and watch...

Me: My Cap score is below 4, I am stupid enough...

Beany later brought Chillycrap to chat with me... Even though I sort of knew Chillycrap through blogging, and have commented on each other blogs pretty often, this is the first time I have ever chat with him instead of the usual "Hello" and wave-my-hand kind...

I am a very curious bunny!!! I want to see the rest if the trebuchet laaaaaaaaa...
So far, there's about 5 teams out of 16 who have managed to hit the lecturers once... Each direct hit was 200 points... The inner circle is worth 50 points, second circle is 15 points while the last circle is 5 points...
Bobo Shooter got 150, cos all of their water bombs landed in the inner circle, quite close to the lecturer... Wah wasted leh, it is the precision that is the problem, their distance was good, but just suay enough that all of their water bombs missed the target... The highest I think was 300 points, one direct hit and two hits in inner circle...
Never mind!!! At least you guys have fun right!!! I enjoyed watching those trebuchet in action too!!! Hahahahaaa...

Initially, it was Kang's suggestion to go out on his last Friday before the tutorials start... Last chance at freedom... And just the other day I have walked past a sushi store... Suddenly, my memory awakens at the delicious smell of sushi... And I remembered that I have been CRAVing for sushi since last year!!! Before the start of exams!!!

So Sushi Buffet it was... With the strong support from YL herself, my CRAVing was finally satisfied!!!
Sushi is one of my favourite food... Especially the Salmon Shashimi... *drools*
Unfortunately, it was also very very expensive... Sobzz... So I can only enjoy my lovely Sushi like once in a blue moon... I have to save up by eating $1 lunch everyday from the Economic Rice Stall leh!!! Rice + 2 Veggie... REally "Chai Fan" lor... (Veggie Rice)
Hell, one plate of Sushi from Suki or Sakae cost like $1.80!!! That is even more expensive than my "Chai Fan"!!!
We decided to go the the Suki Sushi branch at Lot 1 in CCK... This is because unlike Sakae, Suki allows you to order plates and plates of Shashimi during the buffet!!!
And Lot 1, or Choa Chu Kang for the matter, is NOT ULU LAR!!!

After the very heavy breakfast + lunch + dinner... All of us went to walk about in Lot 1 for a while... But Lot 1 is too small for some serious burning-food-workout, hence we left and took a bus to Jurong Point... Hahaha... We took the 4 seats facing each other, and since we have 5 people, poor YB got send to the seat behind us...
At Jurong Point, all of us girls plus YB suddenly became very interested in Kang's dressing style...

So we drag poor Kang to all the stores selling jeans and men's shirt in an attempt to forcethreatened persuade him to try out some jeans!!!
And hey!!! He looks 22 now!!! Oh wait, he IS 22, 23 this year in fact... Funny how I never seemed to notice, must be his cargo pants tricking my eyes into believing he is 19...
Oh by the way, nice shirt does not includes Polo tee... Dunno why so many guys like to wear polo tee... Look like technician leh... Besides you need to have Great Chest in order to pull it off...
