My Twin...

Guys... I have a secret...

Remember the little brother I told you all about??
Well, he isn't very little...
Cos I was not older than him by 3 years...
In actual fact, he's only younger by 3 minutes!!!

We are Twins!!!

Yeah, and I have proof!!!

Da Proof... I was the one on the right, I had side parting while he had no parting...

Don't look so shocked!!!
Just because we weren't studying in the same year doesn't mean we can't be twins!!!
Ya, he is slightly dumber than me, that is why he kena retain for 3 years in kindergarden what...
So now he a bit grow up liao, and starting to catch up, which makes him a bit more smarter than those kids he is currently studying with...

We were a bit of a retard when we were just borned, due to the lack of space in our dear mommy's womb for our head to fully developed...
Hey, having to squeeze two babies weren't easy, and both of us had a hard time in there as well...
Imagine trying to sleep with his semi-formed foot in your semi-formed face...
There was great competition over scared resources such as space and... Well more space...
So can't really blame us if we were idiots eh??

Actually, I still think we looked a bit retarded...

Ignore the small kid in front, that was Act Retard...

Now that we have both grown up...

More proof of our past idiotic tendencies...

Looking much better now, thank goodness...

Our inane behaviour acting up again... Some things just will not go away...

Looking happie although with questionable cause...

Twin or no twin, you cannot deny that we looked alike though...

Siblings...
No matter what you turned out to be, they will always be there to bring you down to earth...

The Day!!!

Yikes look at the time!!! The time!!!
It's 4.53pm!!!
Results will be out in 7 minutes time!!!

Eeeeekkkk!!! Nooo, I don't want to see, but somehow cannot stop my fingers from clicking onto the horror website where my matriculation number and PIN are both waiting to be typed into when the time is right...

Suxxx, it is now 4.55pm!!! 5 minutes of blissful ignorance left!!!

But one good thing came out of today...
I received the results for the application for the financial aid...
And it was successful!!! I have been offered a financial package!!!

YEAH!!! I'M SO HAPPIE!!!!!

Now all I have to do is to wait for mom to come home before I discuss with her about the type of financial package that is suitable for the family...

^_^

4.59pm liao!!!!! Time passed so fast when you are happy!!!
Noooo... I don't want my happiness to died down so quickly...

*pant* *pant*

Breathe in... Breathe out...

5pm... It is time...

*shakes*

.
.
.
.
.

Once again... The results flashed on the screen...

Stunned...

I guess my chance of getting into Mech Engin has severely diminished...

Happiness Index: -36... (Negative... Sigh...)

No, will not show you my grades...
Let's just say, it plummet to the point of no return...
Only the grades for PROGRAMMING METHODOLOGY and ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING are in MY acceptable range...
I'm swearing off MATHEMATICS forever...
The same goes for PHYSICS...
Will not take any subjects not in my area of knowledge anymore, like MAKING SENSE OF SOCIETY for example...

Should have known, after all, I keep getting nightmares whenever I sleep...
Bad Omen...

Please please please please please I hope everyone else has choosen EE or ISE or CE or whatever E and give me the chance to get into Mech Engin!!!

Hmmm... But
PROGRAMMING METHODOLOGY and ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING are the modules meant for EE... Oh dear...

Working... And Getting sleepier...

Work work work...

That what I do all day long...

But some how, I got this feeling that they got nothing for me to do, and now they are just finding some "shitty" work (as quoted by my friend) to take up my time...

After the namecards, some guy ask me to do tags/paper divider...
And after that, was going through the Huge boxes filled to the brim with many ancient things and sorting them into different catergories...
Mind you, those boxes were not light...
I found many useless things inside too...
Like a Tie (as in, real Tie, those you wear with your shirt, pretty ugly too...)... And a charger...
Oh ya, and one Cockroach...

A Cockroach!!!

There I was, nonchalantly opening the second last box, only to find that stupid ugly huge thing sitting there happily, twiddling its feelers...
I was stunned...
Looking around at the office (belong to da boss, or one of the in charges anyway) I took what seemed like a piece of hard paper, aimed, and slammed it onto the cockroach...

Ya, and at the same time squeezing my eyes shut and turning my head away...
When I open my eyes, the cockroach was gone!!! Wheee!!!

Obviously it has gotten away lar...

So I continue to sort out the boxes and found that cockroach several minutes later...
And this time, I took aim and Whack it with my eyes open...

*PIAK*

The cockroach ran away to behind and then to below the many heavy boxes lying on the floor...
Darn... Clever insect, I couldn't reached it...

Hmmm... Think I forgot to tell my boss that there's a cockroach in his office...
Hope he ain't scared of them...

So yesterday, I demand... I mean I asked him whether there are any more things for me to do...
So he sat there, scratching his head, before his eyes fell onto the namecards and light up...

"There!!!" he proclaimed happily... "You can do these namecards!!!"

So back to square one, I'm still doing those damn namecards...

My poor terrible eyes...
It is bad enough looking at computer for nearly 8 hours everyday...
But it is even worse if you have to squinted your eyes to peer at the nearly unrecognisable words on those old and ob-biang namecards...
I need a magnifying glass!!!
And some of those namecards are really ridiculous...
Whoever heard of "Pontianak Office"???
And the words... Super Small... So Small that even the cardreader cannot read it!!!

It is also Super Boring...
And very sleepy...
In fact I nearly fell asleep a few times!!!
My left hand was holding the namecard, while the right one was handling the mouse...
And my eyelids just felt heavier and heavier...
The namecard dropped to the floor a few times, and that was what had jolted me awake...
Not a very good impression if you fall asleep at work...

For this time, I really took my time in reading and inputing data for the namecards...
Cos I was sort of buying time for my boss to think of new things for me to do, so that I can stop bothering him...

Now that I'm done with the namecards, what is he going to give me next???

Not another tags-sort-boxes-namecards routine I hope...

ZzzzzzzzZzzzzzzzZzzzzzzz

There are good friends...

And... There are bad friends...

Bad friends are there because they happened to be there...
They care too much about themselves to truely notice your existense...
When you are facing with an obstacle, they just tell you to get over with it...
And if you stumbled and fall, they will make a casual remark on it and moved on...
Sometimes even adding some salt to your injured area after your fall...

They make you feel...
As if there are nobody you can cry to...
And you can never be as good as the rest of the world...
And that you are not very useful at all...

They shattered your dreams...
They pulled you down and deeper into the treacherous world...
They are the reason why there are so many of them around...
Because we slowly became one of them...

Good friends are there when you are down...
They will console you when you feel like crying...
Share your thoughts and burden together...
And try their darnest best to make you feel happie again...
Or at least, try to argue their way into making you forget your worries, or realised that your problems are well... Not really a problem after all...

They make you feel...
As if you have someone to rely on...
And walk along with you when everywhere are dark and gloomy...
And that you are not worthless after all...

They give you hope...
They helped regain your spirits and confidence...
They are the reason why we can continue to survive in this dirty world of back-stabbing and wound-rubbing...
Because they are there...

Thank you my dear friends...

And to chia ling, ah nick and yb, many many thanks for cheering me up and talking with me...

Especially to chia ling, hey, I did smile again...

Ouch!!!

Oh damn oh damn I just burnt my hand!!!

It happened this morning...
I was toasting the bread in the oven for breakfast...
The first one was ready and I have taken it out without a glitch...

But as I put in the second bread and withdrew my hand, I accidently touch the top part of the oven...

It was hot!!! It was burning!!!
Hot hot hot!!!

OWWWWWW!!!!!

Instinctly, one milli-second after my skin on my hand make contact with the hot oven, it auto-pull back away from it and landed onto my clothes...
Meaning I rubbed my hand onto my clothes la...

Then, a split second later, I remembered that YB had a similar incident and he also rubbed his hands onto it clothes before his whole patch of skin comes off...

I panicked, oh damn, why do I always have this habit of remembering all those advices/formulas/important/useful stuff AFTER the incident happens...

Connection too slow, must upgrade the speed of my brain...

The skin hurts, I quickly ran to the tap to run my hand under the painful area...
My mom advice me to coat toothpaste over it as it was cooling and will help to lessen the pain...
I did exactly that, but somehow, the pain did not go away...

Still very much painful leh, the toothpaste method confirm work anot??

It was only some time later when I realised why that toothpaste method "does not work"...

Cos in my haste and in the darkness of the bathroom, I put the toothpaste onto the wrong, non-scalded area on my hand...

WTF!!!

My mom laugh like crazy and says something like "Thank goodness you did not work as a nurse or doctor, later inject needles wrongly into patients...."

-_-;

Well, I quickly apply the toothpaste onto the correct area under the bright lights and careful scrutiny...
And hey, it does work, the pain sort of lessens!!!

Now I just have a red, sore and tender spot on my hand, but the skin didn't drop off...

I must thank my lucky stars...

My New Job...

I started work at my new job on 9th of May...

The day before, I had no idea where is the place I'm gonna work at, what I'm going to do, and what the people there is like...

It is akin to a leap of faith for me...

Faith in my friend la, that's it...

It took us three buses to reach the workplace, at Ang Mo Kio...
The place is abit like a industrial park, where factories and warehouse and the office are all near to each other...

When we finally reached the office, I was a bit scared...
Cos I don't really like uncertainty/unknown/strange/outside-my-comfort-zone things and surroundings...

I think my knees keep shaking... I hope my friend doesn't sees this...

First he showed me where his desk was, and let me filled in the resume...
That was before he dropped the bomb...
There was gonna be an interview!!!

What what what what what?!?!?!

Ooooooh... Now my hands are shaking as well...

"Pray" my mom always said, and indeed I prayed a lot...

But hey, in the end, there was no interview!!! The boss, or the guy in-charge of me, merely handed me a pile of stuff and decribe to me what I'm supposed to do...

Phew...

So now I'm in charge of data-entrying the huge pile of name cards into excel form...
Sounds quite okay right??
Well, if you get used to it...

Here's the Pros and the Cons of my job...

Cons
1) Very far away, less sleep...
2) The bus rides are killing me with the time taken and the bloody expensive fare...
3) The words on the namecards are of font size 0.00000001...
4) I'm going to become one of the elite members of the Myopic Club...
5) There is no leg room for me cos the position of the computer is just right on top of the drawer...
6) I'm getting leg cramps from sitting with my legs wide open in order to get close to the computer...
7) I have to hunch my back becos it is impossible to sit straight after 9 hours of computer staring...
8) My back now aches like an old man becos of all the hunching...
9) My typing skills ain't good, I used a finger per hand to type...
10) Those fingers are now tired...
11) It is very tiring...
12) It is damn boring...

Pros
1) It is good money...
2) It is none-customer related... Hurray!!!!!
3) I can wear jeans!!! Woo hooo!!!
4) No bloody heels!!! Yesh!!!
5) The people there are nice and friendly unlike those at the *ahem* Certain Mobile Network Operator... (The one which is frequently associated with a picture that is the colour of the mixture of red and yellow, in the shape of a certain celestial body in the certain solar system...)
6) It is good money...
7) There's nice market nearby for lunch...
8) I have a good friend accompanying me...
9) Not as stressful as the time I was in that certain mobile phone operator...
10) The atmosphere is quite casual...
11) I can learn and improve my excel skills...
12) It was a hell of a good money...

So okie, it was so far the best job currently I've had...

I hope they will keep me!!!

Must Work Freaking Hard!!!!!

My Ordeal while LOOKING for the Job Agencies...

Monday...
Is the day I decided to do what many others (and what my mom has been hinting at me) are doing...

Get
A
Job

Part-time job lar...

So me meet up with YL and ZW to go to some job agencies recommended by our friends, hoping to secure one ourselves...
We meet at Chinatown Mrt, and from about 1145am, we circled around the area, looking for the "mythical" Seacare building...

We walked and walked and ran about, asking people around us...
Since it is mythical, not many people had heard about it...
It is only that we have gone some distance away before some people started to point us to the right direction...

ZW: Excuse me, do you know where the Seacare building is??

Passer-by: Oh... It is just over there, go this way... *points*

Us: Thank you!!!

Happily, we walked towards the direction they are pointing at...
And came upon CK department store...

WHAT??!!??!!!
It is SEACARE, not CK lar!!!!!

THEY HAVE BEEN POINTING TO US THE WRONG DIRECTION ALL ALONG!!!

All the walking for nothing... Huh...
So ZW called her father for help and we walked all the way back to the MRT station again...

*ding ding ding*

It's the ice cream man!!!
YL and ZW bought ice cream from the old uncle before asking for directions again...

Wah, old people is still the best, he knows where it is...
At least he knows where 52 Chin Swee Road is, that is where the Seacare building is...
He even drew us a Map!!!
So we went to that direction and saw a quite old 3 storey building...
It says "52 Chin Swee Road"...

Huh?? Sure anot?? Cos according to YL who had seen a picture of some sorts of that building, it was supposed to be quite new and nice looking, fitted with lots of windows etc etc...
And we were supposed to go to the sixth storey of that building...

Zw jokingly said "Haha, only three stories high, where is the sixth floor?? In another dimension??"

Too tired to continue, we plonked ourselves on some benches to take a breather...
YL after a few minutes rest had a sudden burst of energy (very unlike her ;-p) and went around looking for that mythical Seacare building...
And she found it!!! Wooo!!! Amazing!!!

It was behind the old three storey building, partly hidden by another...
"SeAcAre" building it read...
Already nearing 1pm liao, we have been searching for it for more than an hour...

Yes, so we found our first agency on the sixth floor...
When given the resume, we filled it up and I skimmed through the pages to look at the typical jobs they usually have around...
I saw that there's a position for Library Assistant!!!
WoW!!!
I filled it as my first choice... Ooooooohhhhh I love books!!!
Just touching them makes me so happie!!!

After that, we have a light lunch before YL left us to go dating-whatever with MF, while me and ZW continue our Quest...
Next stop, Tanjong Pajar Mrt, to the International-Plaza-blah-blah-some-building...
Wah, it is abit cramp inside, and the lifts were confusing!!!
There are some lifts that goes to several floors and not to others...
But thankfully we managed to find our way to two more agencies, Kelly's and Addeco-blah-blah, before we call it a day...

And I saw WoonS there!!!
Wah, last time art club gathering I could not make it, so didn't see him...
But today I did and WoAH...

What a hairstyle...

I thought he had gone to NS liao... Although, errmm, a bit too long...
*suddenly reminds me of my little squirrel's hairstyle back in JC days, and I nearly laugh out loud in his face*

:-X

Heehee...

After the whole thing was over, ZW went to some place in Novena to fix errrrrrr further enhance her face...
And I received a sms I have been waiting so long to get...

It's from Nicky!!! And he has Great News!!!
He got a Job for Me!!!

YES!!! OH THANK YOU NICKY!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

This Friend

A Friend who used to be nice...

Used to be kind...

Used to be mine...

Many talks I have cherished...

Buried deep without its knowledge...

Time pass, things changed...

It had all soon faded away...

I dare not wish...

I dare not hope...

Dream is the only way...

I feel its presence again...

Nothingness I have felt...

Emptiness raved...

Maybe it shouldn't have started...

Maybe it was all a game...

Too much, too much...

I have lost touch...

Reality is a dagger...

That keeps stabbing my heart...

My soul and my life...

Just to remind me...

That I belong not to other realms...

But...

I will try...

I am enlisted by my cousin to help her embarked in her "Jian Fei Ji Hua" aka "Diet Plan"...
I was supposed to go swimming with my cousin...

Today...
And yesterday, and the day before yesterday...

But hah, the gods were apparently against her, for it threatened to rain on Wednesday (the day where we originally planned to swim)...
The sky was very gloomy when I woke up, and I felt a very strong breeze blowing through my house...

Ah, signs of the impending rain...

So we shifted it to later in the afternoon, or evening...
And then for the following few hours, the skies remained gloomy and cold until the time ran pass 12 noon before the Sun had enough fun hiding behind the clouds playing peek-a-boo and decided to show his full self...
It didn't freaking rain!!!

*piak*
Whole sky becomes very sunny... And very hot...
Too sunny and hot for swimming unless you want to look like you came from Africa...
So I suggested the evening...
But it turns out that she have got some german lesson blah blah going on...
Okie, so tomorrow evening than, since she had to take our granny to the polyclinic in the morning-afternoon...

The next day...
I tidied and clean (!!!) my room while waiting for evening to come...
Then I sms my cousin asking her about the time to meet...
But she replied that she dunno whether can make it anot (because of the trip to polyclinic) and changed it to Friday (that's today) instead...
Sigh...

At least my room is now neat and sparkling clean!!!
Found a few cobwebs and tonnes of dust bunnies everywhere...
No wonder I keep sneezing during the past few months...
Found many used and useless papers to be recycled too...
And my table finally looks flat again!!!
It used to be curve because of the amount of rough papers and important papers I put underneath the protection cover...

Hah, how to study on that table?!?!

On Friday morning...
I set my alram clock to 9am to wake up bright and early for the morning swim...
I opened my eyes...

And saw the cascading rain flowing down my window right in front of me...
So I off the alarm and went back to sleep while my cousin groaned in agony at some other part of bukit batok...

Haha, guess you weren't fated to meet our swimming pool dear cousin...

So instead, I accompanied my cousin and granny to the polyclinic...
Before going there, we went to the nearby hawker centre to have an early lunch...
And at the very moment our butts touch our seats, a women came bustling to us and put a bowl of noodles in front of my granny while asking us what do we want to eat...
I was very surprised, I meant, we have just arrived and the food was ready right in front of my granny, wow, how did she cook so fast??
Both me and my cousin did not see our granny ordering any food...
Did they have some regular visitor thing??

After paying that women...

Me and cousin: Nainai (granny), when did you ordered that food?? We didn't see it, wah the food come so fast arh??

granny (surprised): Huh?? I thought you ordered this food for me one??

('_')

What!!! This was the wrong food order!!! But the very amazing thing is, the food was exactly what my granny had wanted to order!!!

So I sneaked a peek at the rest of the hawker centre...
And woah!!!
I saw another granny with the same silver white short hair as my granny's!!!
And she was sitting somewhere at the back...
Wahahaha!!! That lady gave the food order to the wrong granny!!!

Me spying on that granny2...

Me: Eh... Eh!!! Look!!! That ah ma is looking at us!!!

Cousin (keeps sneaking peeks at granny2, though not very discreetly): Uh-oh, I think she know we got her food liao...

Me: She is standing up liao!!! She is walking towards us!!!

Cousin: Ooorrrhhhh!!! Ah ma, she wants her food back!!! Die liao... Hahahahaha!!!

Luckily, that granny2 did not have a face-to-face confrontation with us, she merely request for her food from the women instead...
Phew, no conflict, I wonder how does two grandmas fight...

Irrelevant note...

Why now got so many mosquitoes one??
Mosquito Season issit?? I thought the Football Season comes first??
And so many of them like to bite me...
Everytime go out to areas with many of these pesky blood suckers, me and ZW were usually the first and the only ones that kena bitten...

Aaarggghhh...

Now I got one bite at the side of my body, quite near my armpit...
*Note: it is NEAR armpit, not in it...
So everytime it is itchy, I scratched it...
Always looks as though I'm scratching my armpits...
EeeeEEEwwWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
Eeewww eeeewwwww eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!

Then got one more on my inner thigh, my stomach, my back...

And the last one is on my butt...

Eeeerrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Stupid Mosquito!!!
Bite also dunno how to choose site properly!!!

It itches like Hell!!!

*scratch scratch scratch scratch scratch*

Hey, that looks just like me!!!
Minus the skin colour, I'm tanner...
( ' o ' )

So free... But broke...

It has been a few days after exams...
And I am still not used to it...
After all, I have been studying everyday for the past one month...

Wake up, wash-up, eat, going to school, coming back home, eat, study, study, snack, study, bath, eat, study, watch one hour of TV, snack, study, sleep, repeat whole cycle...

Super no life...

Luckily, the past three days I have been kinda busy...
Saturday, meet up with my long lost squirrel, who have been neglected by me...
Sunday, went for the much needed excercise (swimming!!!), before going to the house of the family whose kids my mom baby-sits for...
Monday, went to squirrel house with the intention of watching the webcast on the streaming talk and other engin course, only to find it unviewable... (@#%$#&*^$@)
Tuesday, finally a free day spent with the library books... Time to catch up on my readings!!!

Four days into the holidays...
And some of my friends have begin working...
Woah!!!
Don't they need to relax first??
After working so hard and bursting our brains for weeks, we truly deserve it!!!

Come on people, don't work so fast!!!

Must
Enjoy
Holiday
First

Anyway, I decided to start work next week, if I can find any la...
Who want hire me?!
Me!!
Me!!!

I can do anything, as long as it is not customer related (eg customer service, sales, anything that requires contact with customers), and the pay is $6 per hour and above...
Hah, abit demanding, no??
Cos almost all part-time jobs are usually customer-orientated...
I hate those jobs... Bloody customers and evil supervisors...

I think I can most probably do admin, packaging, flyers etc...

Oh man, what can I do??
I'm good at drawing... Is there any part-time job that requires this skill??
Hmmm...

Hah, hope any of you can offer me lobang, or accompany me go look for jobs...
Cos I can only get jobs through the people I know, newspaper and internet doesn't helps...
(wth, I sound so desperate... maybe i am...)

Errmm... Pretty Please??

Anyway...
I came across this website after surfing some blogs...

You can try typing these words...
