After everything was done...
And all matters settled...

I made my way back to the MRT station...
With a fellow acquaintance...
As we walk along the road...

Suddenly...
Something pops out!!!

It is a person...
Who works for a rather well-known company...
That specializes in jumping out of nowhere and harassing unfortunate victims...
Let's just call the company Pineapple...

So anyway, due to my long weeks of intensive training...
I managed to evade all of their advances and made it to safety...
But my fellow acquaintance wasn't so lucky...
For he got stopped by them, and his escape route was shut...

But I saw something puzzling...
Instead of the usual:
"No, sorry I'm busy..."
"Errrr... Dun wan dun wan..."
"Nonononononnoonnonoooo"
Which are the common boring excuses we (myself included) always say...

He merely showed her something in his hand and walked away very fast...

(+_+???)

After he managed to reach safety shores...
I turned to him and say something like:
"Wah, you got arrow by Pineapple person"
"Suddenly got some many of them here"
"Very irritating, you know, usually I just walk away very very fast"

He replied "Issit?? Why don't you wanna sign up for it??"

"Err... Haha, don't want lar... No money to buy all this lar!!!" I said...

On the MRT...
A few stops later...
When he was alighting...

He turned towards me and handed me something in his hand...

"Errmmm, you can contact me if you need any..."

I look at the thing in my hand...
It was a name card, which he had showed to the Pineapple person...

(-_____-|||) --- Whoops...

The big Pineapple logo stared right back at me...
And underneath his name, was his position...

"Pineapple Adviser"

Damn...
I should just stop talking altogether...

HR Project Mates...

Todae is the deadline for.....

HR2002 Group Report Submission!!!

Our Topic is:
Diversity At The Workplace - A Singapore Perspective

And I'm glad to say that, despite some last minute cock-ups...
Our group managed to pull it through, and get out report all nicely done up before 11.59pm, 21 Oct...

Thanks to JiaR and Razi for doing such a great job at doing the final editing of the report...

Thanks to Anand and Razi for their wonderful presentation during our group presentation...

Thanks to JiaR, WeiJ, Ajay, and me (haha!!) for the funny performance during our group presentation...

Thanks to Yenl for doing up on the powerpoint slides...

Thanks to EVERYBODY for contributing their ideas, their countless editing of the report, the hours put into doing the survey, and brain cells killed in doing the entire project and everything in between!!!

Some fond memories...
A pity we do not have a group photo...

Our group hard at work... The closest we have of a group photo...
Razi is the camera man...

Ajay pretending to be sleeping/drunk...
In one of the scene of our role play, where our manager, WEiJ, is supposed to be stereotyping Indians...

Me pretending to talk talk talk and do nothing useful all day long...
The manager is supposed to stereotype females in this scene...

And JiaR, the Chinese Man, is pretending to be hardworking...
Lastly, the manager is stereotyping the chinese males...

And this is what happens when you discriminates against people!!!

"Ooooowwwwwwww"

"Ggaarrrrggggghhhhhh"

Though I doubt any of them will really read this blog...

But I'm glad that we are all a team...

And ours is the best example that Diversity really Works!!!

Arrghhh...

So many people editing the report at the same time...

Aaarrrggghhhh...

But after looking through it, I don't wanna touch it liao!!!!!!!

Aaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh.....

If I'm not already crazy, I will be now!!!

AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Writing the wrong sections of the report...
Using that wrong sections and compile it in...
One section is missing...
Many many areas not backed up by references...
Dunno where to find those missing references...
Dunno how to add those footnotes in...
Survey analysis not used at all!!! (I shall not bother with analyzing next time)
Miscommunication aplenty...

受不了啦!!!

我投降!!!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Finny Laptop...

I am very pissed...

No, actually, I WAS very pissed...
Now not pissed anymore...
Just sianz diao...

But yesterday I was very very very angry...

I was so angry, my eyes turned to slits and I skewered anyone alive within 10 meters of my visibility range using my laser eyes aka X-men style...

I know I sound illogical but I am feeling illogical...
And being the very illogical being I am, I did the most illogical thing as well...

I appeared offline on MSN and my nick was:

-Averii is appearing offline because she is feeling MURDEROUS...
Nobody is to talk to her unless she decided to talk to you... Not unless you want to die at such a tender age...

The illogical thing was that since I was appearing offline, nobody can see my nick anyway...

Ha.Ha.Ha. Let's all laugh at my illogicality...

*ahem*

What really happened yesterday was that I was writing my part for the HR group report...
And was supposed to send to my friend for collation tomorrow...

(Which is today, because yesterday's tomorrow is today and tomorrow yesterday is today and today's yesterday's tomorrow is also today, and all roads lead to Ankh-Morpork...)

(Please bear in mind I am not only illogical, I suffer from irrelevancy as well...)

BUT...

*digression*

Let's all learn a new word today: Finny

We shall learn how to use the new word in examples shown later...

*end of digression*

I was busy doing the report in the computer room in central library, and more then 3/4 was done already...
When suddenly who but SDR came and asked me to come outside and use his laptop instead, since he was bored all alone by himself...

And so I did...
Big Mistake...

Because...

SDR's finny laptop finny delete the one and only finny piece I did in the finny school for a few finny hours... Reason for that deletion?? I have finny no idea, because the finny laptop refuses to finny answer me no matter how many finny times I bang my forehead on its finny screen...

The more anal thing is that it deleted the copy from MY THUMBDRIVE!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!
I SAVE A COPY IN MY THUMBDRIVE AND IT ACTUALLY MANAGES TO DELETE IT!!!
OH WOW THE WONDERS OF TECHNOLOGY!!!
HURRAY FOR MANKIND!!!

@!$@##$%#~!%^&$%!#%!#^%$#&#@$@~()*&$@!$!@#^&*&(%^$

Anyway... Since it is not exactly SDR's fault...
I shall condemn his finny laptop instead...

May you suffer for an eternity in Technology Hell, where virus and bugs will ripped through your components every single day and make you Hang, Blackout, Not Responding, Blue Screen, Error, Short Circuit, Auto Shut Down and Reboot again and again and again...

Grrrr.....

Reflection Paper

It started out well enough...

Me thinking to myself:

It is now Saturday night, you have less than 36 hours to finish this retardy paper before your HR lesson on Mondae Morning!!!

You can do it!!!
Just use your so-long-never-use-liao blogging skills and pia!!!
After all, she (my tutor) did say it was personal... Right??

Right??

*30 seconds later*

Wooo...
I type 52 words in 30 seconds...
So for a 800 words paper, I need 461.538461 seconds, aka 7 minutes!!! Hey!!!

*5 minutes later*

Okie, brain is now officially blocked... Word count still at 52...
What the heck...
Maybe I should go take a break or something...

*Goes to fridge*

*30 minutes later*

Wtf, why am I blogging...

I made my decision...

I will not specialize...

I will take whatever modules that interest me...

Yup...

One step at a time...

Burma: Thousands dead in massacre of the monks dumped in the jungle

01.10.07

Thousands of protesters are dead and the bodies of hundreds of executed monks have been dumped in the jungle, a former intelligence officer for Burma's ruling junta has revealed.

The most senior official to defect so far, Hla Win, said: "Many more people have been killed in recent days than you've heard about. The bodies can be counted in several thousand."

Slaughter: Executed monks have been dumped in the jungle

Tensions: People gather outside a temple after a police raid today

Reports from exiles along the frontier confirmed that hundreds of monks had simply "disappeared" as 20,000 troops swarmed around Rangoon yesterday to prevent further demonstrations by religious groups and civilians.

Word reaching dissidents hiding out on the border suggested that as well as executions, some 2,000 monks are being held in the notorious Insein Prison or in university rooms which have been turned into cells.

There were reports that many were savagely beaten at a sports ground on the outskirts of Rangoon, where they were heard crying for help.

Checkpoint: Police outside the house of opposition leader Aung Sang Suu Kyi today

Executed: The body of a Buddhist monk floats in a river

A Swedish diplomat who visited Burma during the protests said last night that in her opinion the revolution has failed.

"The military regime won and a new generation has been violently repressed and violently denied democracy. The people in the street were young people, monks and civilians who were not participating during the 1988 revolt.

"Now the military has cracked down the revolt, and the result may very well be that the regime will enjoy another 20 years of silence, ruling by fear."
