And Stranded for a period of time...

There are three PRC who had barged into the room they were in, set up all their laptops and stuff, all without asking them whether the space is free for them to use or not...

Oei, SiaoStar, Kang and TL came first into the room to book it for the rest of the study group members who will be coming later... It is not for you to use!!!

I hate it when people do things like this... Sure, the discussion room is not ours, but what the hell, it is in our culture to do things this way... I dunno how the culture is like in your homeland, but kindly respect ours here...

I am a Master at Irritating People... So when I arrived at the discussion room, I've already planned out all my tactics and strategy liao...

1) Be Very Noisy
Since they come there to study, of cos need peace right??
I shall not give them any!!!
Thus the banging of chairs and tables and laughing loudly...

2) Give very Subtle Hints
Say something like:
"This room is so crowded!!!"
"Got three more people joining us later leh"
"Eh, got enough chairs anot har?? Go and book those two chairs over there or later no more left for them"
Diao them till they get it...

3) Reject Them Outright
When the three PRC needed another power socket for their laptops, they ask SiaoStar if she can move her bag away from the chair because one of them needs to sit over there as it is nearer to the power source...
They asked:
"Are there more people coming later?" (think my hints are working)
I said:
"No, you cannot use because there are three more people joining us later"
Off they go...
I know I may sound mean... But hey, I am Mean...

Lab again...

I finally hand up my term paper today...

Actually, there are two stuff which I needed to hand in by today...

My formal lab report by 12pm and my term paper by 5pm...
But (as usual) I was nearly late for my 12pm deadline for the lab report...
Half run half walk all the way there...
Cos I dunno if they will accept late entries...


After that is the daunting task of searching for the...

Mysterious General Office of the Department of Sociology!!!

The term paper guildline told us to submit our stuff to the mailboxes of our tutor in that general office of sociology... I remembered it mention something to do with "Level 3" and "Level 2 at the rear"...

Which is what I type in my handphone... And days later, when I read it again, I could no longer de-code its meaning...

Anyway, Iv told me that it is "along the route from the library to the canteen the nearest office there"...

The first thing when I walked into the lab was to be forced to read the Safety Instructions...

But then, it says "Must tie LONG hair"...
My hair wasn't long, it has many different variations in length, in fact, you can try measuring the longest strand, only to realised it is as short as... Chin length??

Okie, I cheated, my hair all layered lar... So of cos individually hair all very short...

The experiment wasn't as fun as the Bomb and the Ship one...

My poor Friendly Lab Partner was sick...

After the stupid Mech Quiz I did on tuesday, I cannot forget how terrible it was becos I can managed to do only ONE out of FOUR questions...

I was so Traumatised, I went and do it all over again...
(Yesh, I'm easily traumatised... I take my studies very seriously... Ahem... Really!!!)

And woah, after trying those questions under as stress-free environment, I complete all of them successfully!!!

Haiz... No wonder my grades so sucky...

Was on the Youth Subculture of Blogging...

Playing with Water and "Ships"

It was Lab Day again...

But this will be the Last Formal report I'll have to write for this sem!!!
Yesh!!! No more last few chim questions!!!
But that would mean I will have to rush through my informal reports liao...

Once again... My lab venue was at the dreaded Workshop 2 area...
Haha, but this time, I know the way there!!!

Because after the first encounter with the maze at WS2, I happened to pass by the place with the sign that says "ME2134-1 Fluids Mechanics Lab WS2-01-47"...
And I had that place memorised right away...
Guess it was a blessing in disguise...

It was one of those rare times where I was early for my lab...

This Lab session was all about trying to find the Metacentre Height, Buoyancy, Centre of Gravity of a Ship etc...
And we have a "Ship" in the "Sea" as our apparatus...
Actually, it was just a Big Box with many compartments in a Big Tank of Water...

The experiment was quite easy... And I had fun playing with the "Ship"...
My Friendly Lab Partner and I pair up with another Two Friendly Guys...
So I had a great time with the three of them...
(Wayyyy fun den with Nerdy Lab Partner)...

I wet my hair while trying to read the draught reading...
Bloody hair too long argggg...
FLP keep laughing... Hah, he will never know the agony of having long hair...

The whole thing was over pretty fast, but we weren't allowed to leave till 4pm!!!
We have to drained the "Ship" of water (cos we have to pour water in it for one part of our experiment) and woah... It was Heavy!!!

The first try ended up with more water in the "Ship" den before...
Then after that, the Teaching Assistant wanted us to covered up the Big Tank of water...


O_O!!!

You mean they never changed the water at all???
No wonder FLP commented that the water feels a little sticky...
And I spilled some onto my clothes!!! My Hair!!! GAH!!!

In case any of you have noticed, I have a big 'Orh-Chay' aka Bruise on my left upper-arm...
It is big, blue-black with a hint of purple and resembles a circle...

Due to my laziness. I didn't rubbed it to spread the coagulated blood away...
(Hey, have to rub dunno for how many X hours lor... And it hurts...)
So now my bruise has evolved into a ring of reddish-brown marks...

Lab once again!!!

This time, I'm doing C3, where there are two parts to the experiment...

Guess what, one of them is call Oxygen BOMB Calorimetry...

Anyway, lab was fun as usual becos I keep on chatting and crapping with that Friendly Lab Partner...

It's time for the dreaded LAB REPORT!!!

Hate them hate them hate them...

Especially those discussion questions...
Somehow, I can never find the answer I needed on the internet!!!
Being searching for nearly 2 hours liao, gave up and decided to crap my own...
My time is too precious to be wasted on stupid labs...

e.g:

2) Discuss the implications of (a) a low oxygen charging pressure (below 30 atm), (b) excessive fuel sample, and (c) if the bomb was pressurized with air at 30 atm.

My Crap answer:

1(a) If there is a low oxygen charging pressure, there may not be enough oxygen for the fuel to consume and may result in an incomplete combustion.

(b) Too much fuel sample may result in incomplete combustion and the risk of explosion is higher.

(c) The air only contains 20% of oxygen, which may not be enough for the fuel to react, thus resulting in incomplete combustion.

Haha don't laugh, I running out of ideas liao...

e.g:

3) For very high precision work, discuss the major corrections that have to be applied to the calorimetric procedure and included in the calculation of the calorific value.

My Crap answer:

3) The calculations are precise enough.
